This song is about this dream I had not too long ago about a girl from my past that did me dirty a few years ago. I’ve been over her for awhile now, but this dream consisted of us seeing each other for the first time in four years and her asking me why I left her life and how I forgave her for everything. I don’t think about that girl anymore while I’m awake, but the mind wanders back into the past while I sleep sometimes. Properly titled “Dream Catcher” for that reason.
I went to Andrew’s graduation ceremony at CSULB today. I’ve seen him grind through these four years doing all nighters on 10+ page essays and cram during finals weeks and he still ends up getting excellent grades. Proud of my brotha! Definitely puts some spark of motivation in me to do the same thing in the next coming year.
Disappointing your parents. I gotta make some changes when it comes to will-power and self-motivation. I can’t be wasting my time and my money anymore when it comes to my education. I’m already indebted to my schooling and I might as well suck it up and pull through. I gotta wade through all the bullshit classes and hope that I learn something worthwhile because this feeling and tension I’m getting from my family is no good to me.
